Windows and mirrors - the photos I take for me are windows through which I see but also mirrors reflecting how I see the world around me.
I won’t be writing posts on social media but here will spend a few sentences on what’s current and soon to come:
Since returning from Hanoi I have been busy finishing the ‘Portraits of Auckland’ book. It’s in print but I won’t have time to put it in the shop until early June. Please see ‘Works’ for a brief impression of the book and other projects I am or have been working on, and ‘Shop’ for further details about books and selected prints for sale.
For the next few weeks I will be in Japan for what I’m sure will be a set of new experiences and different challenges to capture some of its spirit.
In the meantime the Henderson Photographic Society has organised a group exhibition at the Corbans Waitakere Art Centre for early May, where my photo shown below will be on display.
A photo taken during a brief trip to Hanoi last November, looking for different light conditions to finish the book ‘to paint with light’. It’s titled ‘almost there’.
